To take select screenshots on mac press:

                                                                           Command + Shift + 4

To take full-screen screenshots on mac press:

                                                                                   Command + Shift + 3

To make special text symbols press:

                                                                  alt + Command + T          and that opens menu where you can find all these symbols!
